Milani Rose Blushers Review & Swatches

Hi again loves!

Living in the UK has its advantages and disadvantages. Brands such as Sleek, MUA and Bourjois are available here in drugstores but many American drugstore brands are not available. One of the brands which I have been hearing amazing things about from various YouTube gurus but is not available in UK drugstores is Milani.

I’m sure many of you have seen many Milani products on Instagram, twitter and Facebook; everyone seems to be using them! So I thought id give it a try.

How to find Milani products online which deliver in the UK?
Looking online I found various sites which had Milani products AND delivered to the UK (for a price of course). Two of the websites which I found are cherry culture and Milani cosmetics eu; although I am sure there are a variety of websites which sell Milani cosmetics.

I decided to order from Milani cosmetics eu, Primarily because this website sells only Milani cosmetics whereas Cherry culture sell many other brands which would tempt me in purchasing more (Have to have some sort of self control right?). To my surprise I had found that the Milani’s limited edition Rose blushers were still in stock on this site… they caught my eye directly and I just had to have them, I mean have you seen how beautiful they look?! As this is a European company this also meant that postage and packaging costs was less than an American company for example (every penny counts!)

I think that these blushers look so BEAUTIFUL. Like honestly, they are at the front of my vanity, I think that the bright colours would be perfect for the summer and I cant wait to try the Milani baked blushers.

These blushers come in a round transparent and gold packaging and the product is formed as a rose. On the website these blushers are described as

“A luxurious matte powder blush that features rose petals micro-milled into the powder to bring out the natural rosy tones. It is easy to use and streak-free. Suitable for all skin types and tones.”

I would not say that these blushers are as they are described on the website. These blushers are a matte colour and are super pigmented. Although, I do not agree that it is ‘easy to use and streak free’ I would advise to always wear foundation when wearing these blushers as the texture of the blushers are rather powdery. This makes it harder to apply a strong consistent colour on the cheek as the blush does not blend as much and looks patchy on bare skin. There are eight colours but I have chosen the six colours which I’m more likely to use.

First row (left to right)

02- Flora Passion- This is a dusky pink with a coral undertone; I found this blush to be less powdery than the other blushes.
04- Bella Rose- This is light pink colour, I found this blush to be not as powdery than the other blushes.
05- Coral cove- A lovely bright coral colour, this will be one of my summer blushes as it is a beautiful colour, although this blush is powdery I found that when I wore foundation and used a dual fibre blush brush it was easier to apply this blush.

Second row (left to right)

06- Lady Rouge- This is a red blush colour, although I love the colour of the blush I have to say that this was the blush that I was least impressed with. It was extremely powdery and when applied seemed to be very blotchy.
07- Love Potion- This is a Fuchsia pink colour, this is my favourite colour of the whole collection and is a perfect summer colour.
08- Tea Rose- This is a dark dusky pink colour, I found this easiest to apply with a dual fibre brush.

I would say that these are not the best drugstore blushers but are well pigmented, I would not wear these without a primer and a foundation underneath.

I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on the Milani rose blushes which I have…until next time!
